The Vectron uses a NEW concept in hovering flight.
Most vertical takeoff and landing aircraft rely on expensive and
delicate gyro stabilization systems to remain stable in hovering
flight. With Vectron this is not necessary since the entire body
rotates.

This provides all the gyroscopic stability necessary
for hovering flight. The trick is in providing directional control.
This is done by patented process of continuously changing the
power to all three motors as they rotate in such a way to provide
vectored control of the vehicle.
| This is all accomplished by
the thrust vector computer inside the controller. For the
TVC to coordinate your control inputs and provide the correct
motor control signals some reference to the position of the
Vectron as it rotates is needed. This is provided by the infrared
beam. The beam is projected out radially as the Vectron rotates
and is detected by the IR DOME in front of Y the controller.
The TVC then knows the exact position of all three motors
at the moment the IRB strikes the IR DOME. |

It takes this information and the position
of your vector control joystick and calculates the correct sequence
of power for all three motors as they rotate to move the Vectron
in the same direction as you moved the joystick.
| As long as you look directly
at the Vectron Blackhawk as it is flying and hold the controller
so that the IR DOME is pointing in that direction, the Vectron
will directly follow your movements of the VECTOR CONTROL
joystick. This is very intuitive. No matter where the Vectron
is in your flying space, pushing the joystick forward will
move the Vectron away from you, moving the stick back will
move it towards you, right and left will move the Vectron
respectively right and left. This is unlike most remote controlled
vehicles that require you to mentally change your perspective
based on the vehicle orientation, ie. when an RC car is coming
towards you, turning to your right requires you to turn the
control to your left. |

Another exciting feature is the L.E.D display
which allows you to programme any message as the Vectron spins
it writes out any message you like, just like the Eye-fo frisbee
Programmable message. Light emitting Diodes
(L.E.Ds) can be programmed for a message up to 30 characters.
